Sometimes we have to get in very awkward positions to get 'the shot'

It gets worse as you age, trust me

The point I'm trying to make today, is to go down on all fours and get as close to Mother Nature as you can. You'll discover a whole new world down there

I don't own a macro lens, so the next best thing is to turn my lens around, back to front, and hold it up to the camera body. It creates a passable macro effect. That is how I got so close to the Dandelion. Canon 5D (Classic) 50mm f1.8 flipped

For the images of the fungi and lichen, I used my trusty Sigma 50-150mm on a Canon 7D, it gets close, but not at macro level
