'Ron's 3' A Canon in Cannons

Our time in Cannon Rocks has been very special, for our family, for many reasons

Those reasons are different for each of us but what is undoubted is that the beautiful environment that we live in plays a major role in each of our experiences

I can clearly identify three 'ingredients' that have a profound impact on my journey in Cannon Rocks

The view of the swimming beach

my SUP (Stand Up Paddle Board) and my Canon Camera

The view of the swimming beach is ever changing. Depending on the time of the year, time of the day, the weather at that moment and the angle with which you are viewing the beach, it will always give you something different

I have enjoyed learning to use my camera, to capture the beauty of the region, with the swimming beach being the igniting and original source of inspiration

My SUP has delivered so much joy to me, as well as lots of pain

I broke my rib in 2020 and four in 2021, but its been worth it. Learning to stand, then paddle and finally learning to surf waves has brought many, who have witnessed this learning, much comic relief. I'm unlikely to ever be very good at SUP surfing but hope that it will be a part of my life, for the rest of my time

Looking at swimming beach, taking pictures of the beauty I see and surfing on my SUP cost me nothing, but provide immense and consistent value
